Where Love and Grace Meet
I am humbled that I get to serve women and their children who face homelessness. The last 3 years have been challenging for both large and small nonprofits organizations. I am personally grateful for every person, organization, and church who have walked along side us to help those in need. We prepared and deliver meals to families from Newark to Trenton, we supplied basic toiletries, mask, and hand sanitizer to those who faced homeless, assisted families who were affected by the flood in Elizabeth and the fire in Plainfield. We have been all over New Jersey, with just a handful of willing volunteers. We were able to give of ourselves in the most humbling way, that made someone else's life perhaps just a little better and for that I am grateful.
Our mission is to equip, educate and inspire women young and old who are facing homelessness by providing the necessary resources that fosters self-sufficiency, while cultivating a positive lifestyle that promotes social, emotional and spiritual wellness. We are women relentless in making a difference in the lives of other women, we are advocates of paying it forward, serving women without fear, prejudice or condemnation. In the past year two hearts became one. Promise of Grace Ministries has merged with Love Without Borders and we are now one entity. Our goal continues to be a beckon of light and support to women and children. Stay connected the need is great and we can't do it alone.
Did you Know?
Homelessness is still a chronic issue in the United States and even closer to home right here in New Jersey. The United States, as an industrialized nation, has the highest numbers of homelessness among women and children compared to other industrialized nations. There are many women and children that continue to make the streets their home. We can end that with your help!
Do you Know?
Homeless families comprise roughly 34% of the total U.S. homeless population
84% of families experiencing homelessness are female-headed
Among all homeless women, 60% have children under age 18, but only 65% of them live with at least one of their children.
Homelessness can have a profound impact on women and children. Our goal is to break the cycle of chronic homelessness and provide women and their children with the resources and skills to obtain long term housing, living as model citizens within their families and communities.
